Pulse oximetry OEM solutions

Nellcor™ low-power pulse oximetry PCBA

The Nellcor™ low-power pulse oximetry printed circuit board assembly offers small size and low power SpO₂ technology for monitoring applications.

Features

Small size, low power, and big impact

Low power engineering with three highly efficient power modes helps improve battery life, and the compact design may help manufacturers lower production costs. And that can have a big impact on helping to make pulse oximetry monitoring more attainable for hospitals worldwide.

Three power modes:

 • Normal mode — designed to operate in an energy efficient manner, with an average power consumption of 45mW or less for most monitoring conditions
 • High efficiency mode — limits the maximum power consumption to less than 50mV for all monitoring conditions
 • Legacy mode — average of 60–65mW for most monitoring conditions

Parameters

Nellcor™ low-power pulse oximetry PCBA provides accurate and trusted SpO2, and pulse rate readings clinicians count on. Plus, the LoSat™ expanded accuracy feature helps clinicians accurately track SpO2 in low saturation conditions.1

Additionally, reporting on the percent modulation of IR input for pulse strength is offered as an optional feature. This can help clinicians assess signal quality and pulse strength at the SpO2 sensor site.

Clinical tools

Key tools to help clinicians manage workflow and patient care are part of the technology embedded in the Nellcor™ low-power pulse oximetry PCBA:

 • 8-bit plethysmograph waveform
 • Pulse amplitude “blip” bar as a visual indication of signal strength and the accuracy of SpO2 sensor application
 • Clinician-controlled Nellcor™ SatSeconds alarm management
 • Alarm categorization and notification
 • Variable pitch beep tone as an audible indication of point changes in SpO2
 • Two response modes: SpO2 changes are reported in 2–3 seconds in “fast” mode, and 5–7 seconds in “normal” mode
