RECOMMENDATION Patient is Not a Candidate

Based on the responses provided in questionnaire regarding your patient's spasticity, your patient currently may not benefit from intrathecal baclofen (ITB) therapy. 

However, please continue to monitor your patient's spasticity and reassess their eligibility for ITB therapy if patient:

  • has increased side effects from current therapy.
  • has a worsening in their spasticity (spasticity affecting more muscle groups or extremities).
  • feels that spasticity is bothersome, painful, and/or impacting their quality of life.
  • feels that spasticity interferes with comfort, mobility, transfer, positioning, activities of daily living or caregiver assisstance.
