This course includes:

  • An overview of hemodynamics
  • Basic cardiac anatomy and function
  • Anatomy of the right and left sides of the heart
  • Pulmonary and systemic circulation
  • Circulatory function, covering what happens in terms of blood flow, pressure, and resistance as the blood moves from the heart to the capillary beds of the organs and tissues of the body
  • Review of hemodynamic monitoring, which provides qualitative and quantitative measures of cardiopulmonary function
