Many hospitals aspire to provide value-based health care. They want to help more patients with fewer resources, while also improving employee satisfaction. The Medtronic Managed Services solution involves an affordable, turnkey setup of state-of-the-art infrastructure and technologies. The team’s supply chain management expertise frees up resources while reducing waste and costs.

CERISMAS (Il Centro di Ricerche e Studio in Management Sanitario) analyzed the costs and benefits of adopting the Managed Services model in hospitals. Studying three hospitals that deployed the Medtronic IHS Managed Services model, they were able to prove concrete measurable results.

Contract management went from 30 contracts to one contract

Nursing times required for logistical activities went from 50% (in-house) to 10% (managed services)

Invoicing costs went from €115,997
(in-house) to €924 (managed services)

Italian research centers study proves the Medtronic IHS model improves materials management performance and generates significant savings.
