WHAT IT IS

Monopolar Sealers

Medtronic Advanced Energy built the foundation of its early success on innovative products for solid organ procedures. Studies have shown that using Transcollation technology in general surgery procedures provides the following clinical benefits:

  • Reduces blood transfusion rates during and after liver resections1
  • Reduces the need for renal clamping in partial nephrectomies2
  • May reduce the need for other blood management products during or after the procedure1
  • May reduce post-operative pancreatic leaks following distal pancreatectomy3

General Surgery Procedures for Monopolar Sealers

Medtronic Advanced Energy monopolar sealers are commonly used for these general surgery procedures:

  • Liver resection
  • Pancreatectomy
  • Partial nephrectomy
