Service renewal seminar

Customer biomedical engineering staff who have attended the Puritan Bennett™ 980 ventilator five-day service seminar are eligible after 18 months to register for the service renewal seminar. Course content is designed to help you maintain this critical care life support device according to Medtronic-approved service requirements. This online renewal seminar is required every two years in order to provide the latest service protocols reflecting system enhancements.

To ensure the utmost quality and safety of your ventilators, Medtronic is the only authorized training provider for Puritan Bennett™ 980 series ventilators. No other program is recognized by Medtronic as a valid form of training for Puritan Bennett™ ventilators. We only provide full technical support to biomedical engineers who have an official and current Puritan Bennett™ 980 series ventilators training certificate issued from Medtronic Service Seminars.

This course is conveniently available in an online, self-paced format. The training covers the following topics to promote ventilator performance and patient safety:

• Puritan Bennett™ 980 ventilator applications and design updates
• Review of critical theory of pneumatic and electronic operations
• Updates to periodic and preventive maintenance procedures
• Review of service recommendations, troubleshooting, and error codes
