OVERVIEW

Invasive mechanical ventilation, administered through an artificial respiratory tract, bypasses the upper airway of a patient.1 The capacity to maintain and delivery the optimal humidity level in the intubated patient is mandatory.2

High flow oxygen therapy (HFO2T) is an effective, non-invasive treatment for moderate respiratory disease including acute respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and post-extubation respiratory disfunction.3
