IMPIANTO STIMOLAZIONE DEL MIDOLLO SPINALE

DURANTE LA PROCEDURA

La procedura viene eseguita in genere in ospedale o in un centro chirurgico in regime ambulatoriale.

Il medico dovrà:

  1. Praticare un'incisione sulla schiena e posizionare gli elettrocateteri (cavi per uso medico) che trasmettono la stimolazione nello spazio epidurale del midollo spinale.
  2. Praticare una seconda incisione e creare una tasca sotto la cute abbastanza grande da contenere il neurostimolatore.
  3. Collegare gli elettrocateteri al neurostimolatore.
  4. Chiudere le incisioni e completare l'intervento chirurgico.

DOPO LA PROCEDURA

Dopo la procedura di impianto del dispositivo per la stimolazione del midollo spinale, seguire le istruzioni del medico relative al recupero e alle relative cure. È molto importante non mancare a nessuna delle visite di follow-up programmate.
