Learning Pathways

Training & Education

We offer a wide range of long-form training pathways in digital, onsite or hybrid format in the following areas:

  • Deep Endometriosis (6 months)
  • Vaginoscopy (3 months)
  • Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (3 months)

Deep Endometriosis Learning Pathway - EndoCare

The pathway will take place over 6 months and will include multi-modality training, combining online lecture content, clinical immersions and hands-on training.

Vaginoscopy Learning Pathway

Vaginoscopy, known as a “no-touch” technique, exhibits a similar efficacy to standard hysteroscopy. The endoscope can smoothly traverse the vaginal canal and cervix without introducing a vaginal speculum or cervical grasper. Evidence has concluded that the technique significantly reduces pain, procedural time, and vasovagal response compared with the traditional approach.

Laparoscopic Hysterectomy Digital Masterclass

Laparoscopic hysterectomies have been clearly associated with decreased blood loss, shorter hospital stay, speedier return to normal activities, and fewer abdominal wall infections when compared with abdominal hysterectomies.

Deep Endometriosis Learning Pathway

EndoCare
Overview

The pathway will take place over 6 months and will include multi-modality training, combining online lecture content, clinical immersions and hands-on training.

Objectives of the learning pathway

This course will enhance and prepare the surgeons in aspect to manage all the difficult scenarios of deep endometriosis.

Faculty

The Learning Pathway is developed and implemented in collaboration with key opinion leaders from across Europe. The Scientific Director of the course will be Professor Mohamed Mabrouk.

Details of the learning pathway

The concept of the course is to facilitate a multi-modality training, combining online lecture content, cadaveric dissection, clinical immersion, live surgery and hands-on proctorship training, exclusively available only for registered candidates.

Vaginoscopy Learning Pathway

Overview

Vaginoscopy, known as a “no-touch” technique, exhibits a similar efficacy to standard hysteroscopy. The endoscope can smoothly traverse the vaginal canal and cervix without introducing a vaginal speculum or cervical grasper. Evidence has concluded that the technique significantly reduces pain, procedural time, and vasovagal response compared with the traditional approach.

Objectives of the learning pathway

The objective of the pathway is to improve the surgical technique of surgeons when implementing the vaginoscopic approach in their practice.

Faculty

Medtronic have collaborated with Key Opinion Leaders from across Europe in order to design and implement this training program.

Details of the learning pathway

The concept of the course is to provide a thorough introduction and training on how to perform the vaginoscopic technique in an entirely digital environment. The pathway provide the theoretical background to performing the technique, digital clinical immersions and finally a chance to review your own technique with the faculty.

Laparoscopic Hysterectomy Digital Masterclass

Overview

Laparoscopic hysterectomies have been clearly associated with decreased blood loss, shorter hospital stay, speedier return to normal activities, and fewer abdominal wall infections when compared with abdominal hysterectomies.

Objectives of the learning pathway

It is very important to develop, teach and train doctors to new techniques so that every patient can access the benefits of safe and effective laparoscopic surgery. This course will enhance and prepare the surgeons to manage the difficult scenarios of laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Faculty

Medtronic have collaborated with Key Opinion Leaders from across Europe in order to design and implement this training program. The faculty are leaders in the hysteroscopic at both in-country and European level.

Details of the learning pathway

This comprehensive program includes one full day of video lectures, as well as interactive discussions, focusing on the key procedural steps and technical tips necessary to perform laparoscopic hysterectomy.
