The Microstream™ Technology Advantage

Microstream™ capnography technology uses Molecular Correlation Spectroscopy™ a proprietary CO2-specific IR wavelength engineered to deliver clear, crisp waveforms and accurate measurements, with no impact from the presence of other gases (i.e., O2, N2O, He, or inhaled anaesthetics). With fast power-up and fully accurate measurements at first reading, Microstream™ technology offers:Low flow 50-mL/minute sample rate, effective for virtually all patient types and necessary for neonatal samplingNo individual patient calibration or rezeroing requiredProprietary Smart Capnography™ algorithms, Smart Breath Detection™ algorithm (SBD) and Smart Alarm for Respiratory Analysis™ algorithm (SARA), are designed to simplify the use of CO2 monitoring on Microstream™ technology-enabled patient monitors to help improve patient safety and clinical workflow.([FOOTNOTE=Internal test data on file. ],[ANCHOR=],[LINK=])

Microstream™ Advance Filter Lines

Design enhancements help improve the patient experience and the performance of the sampling line. Softer tubing may help increase patient compliance and safety, while the improved kink-resistance of the tubing maintains an uninterrupted oxygen supply to patients, and continuous CO2 sampling.([FOOTNOTE=Blonder Y, Mazor E, and Jew K. Microstream™ Advance filter lines offer:

  • Soft tubing and neutral scent to help improve patient compliance
  • Intubated and nonintubated options for short-term and long-term monitoring
  • 0.2-micron sterilizing-grade filter designed to help reduce risk1 of biohazard contamination of the monitor
  • Uni-junction™ technology, designed for effective sampling with and without oxygen delivery, from both nares and the mouth, even at low tidal volumes
  • Kink-resistant tubing engineered to mitigate interrupted oxygen flow and resulting alarms, meets ISO 13544-2 compliance standard
