Acute care and monitoring
Microstream™ technology
Designed to deliver accurate performance
The Microstream™ capnography monitoring system integrates filter lines, advanced hardware, and sophisticated algorithms to deliver precise EtCO₂ readings and provide critical insights for patients across all care settings.
In bench testing against competitive sampling lines, only the Microstream™ Advance filter line consistently performed to specification across all tested metrics.1 Sampling lines that imitate the Microstream™ Advance connector exhibited inconsistent performance, suggesting that cross paired sampling lines may fail to deliver reliable, consistent, or accurate measurements.
Microstream™ Advance filter lines are designed for accuracy and account for variations in nasal passage anatomy and nasal obstructions2 to provide reliable EtCO2 measurements.
Our Uni-junction™ technology is designed for effective sampling from both nares and the mouth - even at low tidal volumes - while minimizing the impact of oxygen flow and high respiratory rates.
Delivers oxygen to both nares and the mouth by creating an “oxygen cloud” designed to provide consistent FiO2 for both oral and nasal breathers.
Our Smart Breath Detection™ (SBD) and Smart Alarm for Respiratory Analysis™ (SARA) algorithms screen out low-amplitude “non-breath” EtCO2 excursions like snoring, talking, or crying, to reduce the frequency of clinically insignificant respiratory rate alarms by 53%.
Integrated Pulmonary Index™ (IPI) combines four real-time measures — EtCO2, SpO2, RR and PR — to provide an inclusive assessment of respiratory status in a single number (1-10) and promotes early awareness of changes to respiratory status.
The Apnea Sat Alert™ algorithm tracks apnea and oxygen desaturation events and calculates the associated apnea per hour (A/hr) and oxygen desaturation index (ODI) for patients.
Imitation lines don’t deliver the same performance. Cross-paired sampling lines did not exhibit accurate EtCO2 readings when tested.†,1
Microstream™ Advance filter lines are available in sizes to accommodate neonate to adult patients and can be used in virtually all clinical settings.
Oxy₂Pro™* and Oxy₂Mask™* connector masks include an enhanced diffuser to help control oxygen delivery and EtCO₂ measurements.
