Overview

Continuous monitoring of respiratory status for early detection of evolving respiratory compromise

Nellcor™ respiratory function monitoring solutions, available for OEM partners with the new Nellcor™ multi-functional respiratory (MFR) PCBA platform, may provide clinicians with an early warning indicator of evolving respiratory compromise.

With Nellcor™ single sensor technology innovation, the new Nellcor™ multi-functional respiratory PCBA platform offers Nellcor™ SpO2, pulse rate, SatSeconds alarm management, saturation pattern detection (SPD) alert and Nellcor™ respiration rate software from one integrated sensor- providing a more complete picture of a patient’s respiratory status.

The Nellcor™ multi-functional respiratory upgradeable technology platform has been designed for upgradeability, so current and future parameter options can be added at any time with easy and secure software upgrades.

Product Features

The new Nellcor™ multi-functional respiratory (MFR) PCBA platform offers Nellcor™ SpO2, pulse rate and respiration rate technology in a single-sensor design, providing a more complete picture of a patient’s respiratory status.

Based on industry-leading Nellcor™ pulse oximetry with OxiMax™ technology and SatSeconds alarm management, the Nellcor™ multi-functional respiratory PCBA platform makes new respiratory parameter features, including Nellcor™ respiration rate software and saturation pattern detection (SPD) alert, available to OEM partners for implementation.1,2

The Nellcor™ multi-functional respiratory PCBA platform delivers respiratory and SpO2 monitoring parameters, including:

  • Nellcor™ Respiration Rate Software — from a single, integrated RR-enabled adult SpO2 sensor
  • Saturation Pattern Detection (SPD) alert — provides a real-time indication of the presence of repetitive reductions in airflow (RRiA) through an adult patient’s upper airway and lungs
  • SatSeconds alarm management — a clinician-controlled feature that may differentiate between serious hypoxemia and minor transient events
  • Plus: Nellcor™ cardiac-based pulse oximetry with OxiMax™ technology, featuring
    • Motion-tolerant pulse oximetry technology, to ensure accurate and timely SpO2 readings
    • LoSat™ accuracy range of 60% to 100% SpO2
    • Expanded performance claims for use of Nellcor™ N-600X pulse oximetry bedside monitor as a tool to aid healthcare practitioners in CCHD (critical congenital heart disease) screening of neonates.3,4
    • % Modulation, for pulse strength reporting
    • Compatibility with the full portfolio of Nellcor™ OxiMax™ sensors

A fully upgradeable technology platform, the Nellcor™ multi-functional respiratory PCBA solution delivers the flexibility to choose the respiratory function parameters and features you need now, and in the future. Current and future parameter options can be added at any time with easy and secure software upgrades.
