INTRODUCTION TO SACRAL NEUROMODULATION FOR BLADDER CONTROL AND BOWEL CONTROL

For: Urologists, urogynecologists, gynecologists, and OB/GYNs who would like to learn about treatment options for urinary and fecal incontinence.

Objective: Understand the potential value of Sacral Neuromodulation for treating incontinence.

Description: This course is the first step to become trained on using the InterStim™ system. Topics include anatomy and physiology, clinical results, patient selection, test stimulation and implant, reading fluoroscopy, and how to get started with the InterStim system.


INTRODUCTION TO SACRAL NEUROMODULATION FOR BOWEL CONTROL

For: Colorectal and general surgeons who would like to learn about treatment options for fecal incontinence.

Objective: Understand the potential value of Sacral Neuromodulation for treating chronic fecal incontinence.

Description: This course is the first step to become trained on using the InterStim system. Topics include anatomy and physiology, clinical results, patient selection, test stimulation and implant, reading fluoroscopy, and how to get started with the InterStim system.


ULTRASOUND GUIDED NEEDLE PLACEMENT FOR BASIC EVALUATION

For: Clinicians who perform the basic evaluation for Sacral Neuromodulation.

Objective: Learn to use diagnostic ultrasound to place foramen needles as part of a basic evaluation for Sacral Neuromodulation.

Description: This course provides an overview for using diagnostic ultrasound imagining to guide needle placement during a basic evaluation (also known as a PNE). Participants will learn how to identify sacral anatomy with diagnostic ultrasound; recognize landmarks; locate S3; and place the needle in S3.


PROGRAMMING AND MANAGE-BY-FACT

For: Clinicians who manage patients with the InterStim System.

Objective: Become skilled at programming the InterStim System for optimal therapy outcomes.

Description: This course provides a basic overview of the functionality of the N'Vision Clinician Programmer used for programming the InterStim System, the basics of electrode configurations and programming parameters, and an introduction to a simplified, objective approach to programming and post-implant patient management, called Manage-By-Fact.


VERIFY EVALUATION SYSTEM

For: Clinicians who initiate the evaluation for Sacral Neuromodulation or manage patients during the evaluation.

Objective: Understand how to use the Verify Evaluation System for the advanced evaluation.

Description: This course provides an overview of the set-up and use of the Verify Evaluation System for advanced evaluations. It includes training on setting up a controller and pairing with a Verify ENS, intraoperative testing, and post-operative adjustments.
